Privacy policy
Last updated: October 2026
This policy covers Chefitt's recipe and free-guide pages on vault.chefitt.com and recipes.chefitt.com. The Chefitt blog has its own policy at blog.chefitt.com/privacy.
What we collect
When you enter your email to get a recipe or a free guide, we keep your email address, which page you signed up on, and when. When you visit, our host (Vercel) and Meta receive basic information about the visit: the page you viewed, your IP address, and your browser and device type.
How we use it
We use your email to send you the recipe or guide you asked for and the Chefitt newsletter. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link. We use visit and signup data to see which of our Facebook and Instagram ads bring people to these pages, and to show our ads to people likely to be interested. We don't sell your personal information.
Meta Pixel and Conversions API
These pages use the Meta Pixel, a piece of code from Meta, the company behind Facebook and Instagram. It sets cookies in your browser and tells Meta when you view a page and when you sign up.
When you sign up, our server also reports the signup to Meta through its Conversions API. The report includes your email address in hashed form (converted into a code that can't be turned back into your address), your IP address, your browser type, and Meta's cookie IDs. Meta uses this to match the signup to an ad you may have clicked. Meta's own use of the data is covered by its privacy policy at facebook.com/privacy/policy.
We may also give Meta a hashed list of our subscribers' email addresses, so our ads don't show to people who already get the newsletter. Meta deletes the hashed list after matching it to accounts.
To opt out of this ad tracking:
- Change your ad settings at facebook.com/adpreferences.
- Block cookies or use a tracker blocker in your browser.
- Opt out of interest-based ads from participating companies at optout.aboutads.info.
Services we use
Beehiiv sends the newsletter and stores subscriber emails. Google (Gmail and Google Sheets) sends the email with your recipe or guide and keeps a log of signups. Vercel hosts these pages and keeps server logs. Meta receives the data described above.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time with the link in any email. To find out what we hold about you, or to have your email deleted, write to clayton@redmonstrategicventures.com. Depending on where you live (California, the EU or the UK, for example), you may have more rights under local law, and we'll honor those requests.
Children
These pages aren't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
